Bobby Cleveland grew up in south Oklahoma City.He and his wife, Barbara, live in Slaughterville. Married for 49 years, they have two boys, Rob and Rod, and eight grandchildren. Bobby started his own small business when he was just out of school. After some early struggles, he began working with a company in Northwest Arkansas that was just gaining steam (Wal-Mart).
Over the next 30 years, Bobby built his business, manufacturing different products for Wal-Mart. His companies have sold everything from Bible covers to refurbished golf balls (Experienced Golf Ball®). An inventor, Bobby holds two patents and at least 10 trademarks.
The Cleveland’s are members of Bethel Baptist Church in Norman. Over the years Bobby has served as a Sunday School teacher and Royal Ambassador leader at Lexington First Baptist. He’s also a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). Through this program, Bobby helps kids from abusive and drug dependent families as they go through the court system.
Bobby is currently the Cleveland County Republican Party Chairman. Under his leadership, the Cleveland County Republican Party has given more to Republican candidates than in previous years and has helped Republican legislators, County Officials and conservative candidates for city council get elected. Of which is his son Rod Cleveland who is County Commissioner in Cleveland County.
